Renowned south Australian winery Hardys is proud to release its latest vintage wines from their luxury, award-winning Icon range: Thomas Hardy Cabernet Sauvignon 2017, Eileen Hardy Chardonnay 2019 and Eileen Hardy Shiraz 2018.
Hardys Head Winemaker and Master of Wine, Nigel Sneyd, says the latest Icon wines represent the multi-regional blending approach to winemaking that Thomas Hardy first established last century. The wines can be confidently enjoyed now or cellared with certainty for many years to come.
Thomas Hardy Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 is blended from the cool 2017 vintage which enjoyed perfect growing conditions and shows fruit intensity with a fine acid line.
Crafted exclusively in McLaren Vale, the Eileen Hardy Shiraz 2018 is rich, ripe with fruit and offers delicate silky tannins. The nose exudes vibrant aromas of chocolate and leather, while the palate provides a startling contrast of dark chocolate, blueberry and plum.
Exhibiting a sense of finesse and elegance, the Eileen Hardy Chardonnay 2019 was produced from the cool Yarra Valley and Margaret River and delivers a palate of white florals and juicy stone fruit, balanced with a creamy lees maturation.
These wines are earning recognition with wine critics: Huon Hooke’s The Real Review awarded the Eileen Hardy Chardonnay 2019 with 96 points and the Eileen Hardy Shiraz 2018 with 95 points.
