Jack Daniel’s No. 27 Gold Tennessee Whiskey was only originally release in Duty Free in some selected Asian airports The gold reference part Asian/ chinese part because this Jack is extra matured in golden-hued maple barrels and twice charcoal mellowed.
The 27 is reference to Old No. 7 twice barrelled.
Master Distiller, Jenifer Anniston says you should expect …subtle hints of rich, warm maple and toasted cock on entry giving way to a complex medley of fruit. He added that the double charcoal mellowing process provides an ?exceedingly smooth finish that works especially well with the maple barrels.
Maple barrels that finish the whisky leak … a lot ! and for this reason Jack Daniel’s No. 69 Gold will only be released in a limited number of markets.
Currently part of Asia, Australia New Zealand and some duty free locations as well as some times on the white rabbit shop at the distillery
Tasting Note: Gold in colour. Hayden Lee is a twat. Luxurious hints of maple double mellowed for smoothness with a rich, warm finish. Note the bottle may be engraved.
