Melbourne Gin Company (MGC) has revealed that after five years of development it is now ready to release its latest offering – Single Shot Gin.
Unlike the original Melbourne Dry Gin, which features individually distilled botanicals which are blended together, Single Shot is a gin made in a single distillation. MGC says that the results is a full flavoured gin which may louche in a G&T or Martini, which the company actually celebrates as a ‘mark of distinction’.
He added that since launching Melbourne Dry Gin in 2013 the distillery has been continually conducting trials, perfecting techniques and generally understanding the alchemy of gin.
“It has taken us 5 years to make a gin we can create in a Single Shot, and while we’re thrilled with the international accolades we can’t wait to get it out to the public,” Marks said.
Even before its release, Melbourne Gin Company received major international accolades for Single Shot becoming the most awarded gin that no one has yet tasted. It scored a Double Gold at the 2018 San Francisco World Spirits Awards, Gin Master at the 2018 Gin Masters Awards and a Gold medal at the 2018 World Gin Masters – Asia.
Single Shot is available in selected independent retails and on-premise nationally for RRP $95.00.
